CV in nutshell

1998-	I'm currently employed in Budapest by Encorus, a largely Germany-based software company, successor of former Brokat Ag. We develop internet and mobile-based payment solutions, mainly using Java server-side technologies.
1994-1998	PhD studies at the Technical University of Budapest, Dept. of Telecommunications. Took part in some conferences and developed OMNeT++. Worked part-time on data network simulation projects.
1989-1994	Technical University of Budapest, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (MSc equivalent in Computer Science).

PhD research

1994-1998 I was a PhD student at the Department of Telecommunication, Technical University of Budapest. My research area was the simulation of large telecommunication systems (advisor: dr. György Pongor).

Topics:

k-split: a novel on-line distribution approximation method (useful for simulation and measurement software/hardware), similar in nature to the P² method
OMNeT++-related topics: topology templates, component-based simulation, parallel simulation using conservative and statistical synchronization methods.

Finishing the thesis and defending my PhD degree is still ahead of me.
